Finally, some 30K. Can't believe it took me a whole year to finish this particular 30K fic. But a lot has happened with me too that delayed its finish, not least of which was a death in my family and unreliable internet access. Sleazebag Kagami,

I received with much dread your flowers. They look very nice stuffed down the trash compacter drain in the Honky Tonk’s diner. The gesture was kind not really, but for future reference I hope not, I don’t particularly care for roses or you.

Also, please be aware that I am capable of making my own perfume and roasting you to a crisp with it so there is no need to purchase any for me because there’s no way in hell I’m going out with you.

And lastly, I hope you will remember that Ban hates your guts I do not receive unscheduled visitors and especially not in the middle of the night. I understand that we both work unusual hours you perverted peeping tom, but be advised that my security system does not differentiate between friend or foe at that hour who thinks it’s romantic to sneak inside someone’s bedroom anyway?!? and will respond accordingly Akabane sends his regards by the way.

In the future stay away loser I’m sure you will take my advice and go snort yourself full of diamond dust and consider a better suit the ramifications of your actions painful bloody death by perfume, snakebite, or scalpels, whichever occurs first.

- The "Nan Kheper" that Akane and Ban speak of is a period of 5 nights in ancient Egyptian mythology wherein the principal gods and goddesses (Osiris, Horus the Elder, Seth, Isis and Nephthys (Greek ver.)) were said to have been created as a result of a wager by Djehuty (Greek: Thoth) that added extra calendar time. Generally speaking, the exact dates of this extra time vary, but they are usually agreed to have taken place sometime during the summer. Considering that Akabane's birthday is November 23rd, I fudge a little creative license here. ;)
